ALLOUEZ UTILITY RATE INCREASES FOR 2011

The 2011 water and sanitary sewer rates will increase due to increased water and sewer costs to the village utilities.

Due to a cost increase of $0.35 per 1000 gallons of water purchased from the Central Brown County Water Authority (CBCWA), the Village of Allouez has increased its Water Utility rates to the following for residential customers. The CBCWA cost increase is due to declining commercial water sales in member communities. The 2010 rates were $4.51 per 1000 gallons up to 2,000 gallons used per month, and $5.66 per 1000 gallons for the next 8,000 gallons used.

Allouez Residential Rates:
First 2,000 gallons used per month = $4.86 per 1000 gallons
Next 8,000 gallons used per month = $6.01 per 1000 gallons
Over 10,000 gallons used per month = $8.01 per 1000 gallons
Commercial Rates:
First 250,000 gallons used per month = $5.86 per 1000 gallons
Over 250,000 gallons used per month = $5.36 per 1000 gallons

The Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District increased its municipal wastewater charges for 2011 by 15%, resulting in a cost increase to the Village of Allouez for discharge of its wastewater. As a result of this cost increase, the Village of Allouez has increased its sanitary sewage charge to the following. The Allouez rate for 2010 was $3.91 per 1000 gallons.

Allouez 2011 Sewage Charge = $4.25 per 1000 gallons

These cost increases are effective January 1, 2011, and will appear on the February monthly billing.
