Spring Cleanup begins April 5th

NOTICE TO VILLAGE OF ALLOUEZ RESIDENTS

The Village of Allouez Public Works Department will begin its spring curbside collection of loose leaves and yard waste on Monday, April 5th. The last day to put yard waste/leaves to the curb for pick up is April 18th. Leaves and yard waste should be placed in separate piles behind the curb – NOT IN THE STREET. Bagged material will not be collected by the Village. If residents wish to bag their yard waste, they will need to contact a private hauler for collection or take the yard waste to the LeBrun yard waste site.

THERE IS NO BRUSH (branches/twigs) OR BULK PICK UP DURING SPRING COLLECTION THEREFORE DO NOT PLACE BRUSH OR BULK AT THE CURB DURING THIS TIME. BULK PICK UP WILL RESUME THE WEEK OF MAY 3RD AND BRUSH PICK UP WILL RESUME THE WEEK OF MAY 10th.

Yard waste is defined as all materials originating in the yard and garden which are capable of natural decomposition (i.e. Leaves, plants, flowers, etc.).

ITEMS NOT COLLECTED DURING SPRING CLEAN-UP:
– Brush (branches/twigs)
– Grass clippings
– Root Balls
– Stumps
– Tree roots

Place your yard waste piles at the curb (NOT in the street) during spring clean-up.

Crews will collect leaves and yard waste throughout the Village following regular garbage collection routes. However, depending on the amount of yard waste placed at the curb, crews will not always be able to pick this material up on the same day as the garbage is collected.

GREEN GRASS IS NOT COLLECTED BY THE VILLAGE. Green grass can be taken to the Lebrun yard waste site.

LEBRUN YARD WASTE IS OPEN 24/7 (For Allouez residents ONLY)
(LeBrun Yard waste is located on LeBrun Street -take East River Drive, or Libal Street, or Webster Avenue south towards De Pere.)
